About Us

Our Approach

Ghostworks is a design-led shipyard with full build capability. We do not separate the people who design vessels from the people who build them. Every vessel is individually crafted, but the engineering principles, hull forms, composite methods, and design philosophy carry across every project. One philosophy, infinite applications.

  • Our composite expertise can be traced directly to the America's Cup and the Ocean Race. The team that developed these materials and methods in extreme racing environments now applies them to powered vessels across defense, commercial, and recreational applications. Precision carbon fiber layups, low-temp prepreg composites, and scalable production. The result: lighter, faster, stronger vessels with better fuel economy and higher payload capacity.

  • Ghostworks holds the exclusive global license to the M-Hull design, previously seen only in the M80 Stiletto, still in active use as a naval research vessel by the U.S. military. We are the only firm currently building M-Hulls. Our foil-assisted powercat designs, evolved from Morrelli & Melvin's high-performance work, deliver significant hydrodynamic advantages: reduced wake scar for shoreline and sensitive environment operations, and reduced wake slam improving operator endurance and crew safety on long missions or in rough seas.

  • Mold-based, scalable production using precision-machined tooling for high repeatability. Custom molds fabricated within four to six weeks for fast program start. Thermoform sandwich-core carbon fiber construction. Vacuum-bagged prepreg carbon panels. Low-temperature cure reusable molds. Continuous advances in composites have reduced labor inputs by more than 30% over the past decade.

Our Team

We build alongside the people who use what we build. Veteran operators are part of the Ghostworks team. The people who have ridden vessels into rough water, who have lived the operational pain points, are part of the engineering process from first sketch to sea trial. The result is vessels that solve real operational problems, not theoretical ones.

Pedigree

Racing heritage from the America's Cup and the Ocean Race. Decades of experience. Hull designs no one else can build. Naval architecture by the team behind multiple round-the-world and America's Cup vessels. Over 60 high-speed vessels delivered by our VP of Production alone, some exceeding 150 knots.

Process

Operators are not consulted after the fact. They are co-creators. Every solution addresses real-world problems that operators encounter, built with their input and feedback from day one. We do not deliver prototypes. We deliver platforms.
